As we earlier reported, not a single black actor was nominated in any of the four major acting categories at the Oscars for the second year in a row. As to whether or not he’ll join the several other celebrities who insist they’re boycotting the awards show this year, Ruffalo told BBC News,  "I’m weighing it, yes. That’s where I’m at right now."

"I’m really sympathetic to what they’re doing. It’s something that I’m struggling with personally, to get behind this or not," Ruffalo told Sky News at the London premiere of his new movie 'Spotlight', for which he’s nominated, Ruffalo said of those boycotting.

Ruffalo’s film 'Spotlight' tells the true story of a group of journalists who uncovered wide-ranging child molestation within the Catholic Church. "The only reason I’m probably not going to take part in the boycott is because I’m representing another kind of victim," Ruffalo explained. “And the Oscars mean a lot to these people."
